I too hope that we will be able to get back to some normality this year and have a
great sailing be we racing or cruising. I look forward to seeing the Solent full of sails
     again.
The Association has welcomed several new members over the past two years.
Mr & Mrs Freeman and Mr & Mrs Whitehead who have Pickle.
Mr Simon Field who has Finvara
Mr. Tom Byrne who has taken Lene of Assen to Ireland.
Mr Roy Beeby who has the Varne called Free Spirit.
Mr. N. Campling and Gill Thomas who have Fritha.
Mr C. McCallin and J. Wong who have Flicka
Mr & Mrs Jakeways have Bellatrix which is in Cornwall.

We have also welcomed seven Associate Members.

                                                                               st
     5. To receive a statement of Income and Expenditure for the year ending 31
                                                st
December 2019 and the year ending 31 December 2020.
The 2019 and 2020 income and expenditure sheets had been circulated to all
     members prior to this meeting.
The Treasurer reported on the accounts.
As you can see Subscription income has dropped in both years, there last been a slow
drop of in membership over several years, although there were no written
resignations, it was larger in 2020 than in the preceding years. The income from web
site ads and Yearbook adverts was better in 2020. You will also notice a large drop in
Commission in 2020, that was because GJW Direct stopped paying the Association
commission. When queried they said that it was Company policy not to pay
commission to Associations anymore. We do however still get commission from
Noble Marine, and I hope that members will look at insuring with Pantaenius.
Nordic Measurement Certificates are renewable every other year (this money goes
into the Nordic Fund which is held in the Association Accounts), so this was
substantial in 2019 and none in 2020.
The ties and flags (1tie and 2 flags) were written off at the beginning of 2020 when
the new logo came into use.
The Yearbook cost a little more in 2020 so that it could be read on phones and tablets
not just computers. However, the costs of producing the Yearbook are considerably
down in 2018 as the production is now being down in house.

                                                                                55
