members of the complicated RYA guidelines that are in place at the moment and
     asked members to be patient. She quoted the RYA says “The maximum crew number
     should be decided by the ability of that crew to maintain social distancing afloat and
     other mitigations, such as face coverings. Race organisers are encouraged to ensure a
     level playing field for all by requiring the use of face coverings or limiting crew
     numbers.”  The Royal Lymington has written guidelines into their NORs. Chris
     Baldwick said that when the Government guidelines changed, and they were freed up
     the Royal Lymington only had to issue a simple amendment to their Sailing
     Instructions.
     The Chairmen informed the meeting that the West Solent Group would now be
     known as the Solent Group to include Hamble.
     Tony Smee informed the meeting that he had sourced whisker poles but needed to
     order at least 5.
     Julian Sowry asked if the San Francisco International Regatta was going ahead this
     year and if it is how a crew to go is selected. San Francisco have been contacted and it
     looks as though the Regatta is going ahead at the end of September. They were also
     asked if GB could send two crews, they replied that this may be possible. Mathew
     Jones said that it is usually offered to the winners of the Nationals. Sally Kalis
     suggested that crews that wished to go send a proposal to the Committee for them to
     consider.

     13.    Closing Remarks by the Association President Sally Kalis.
     Sally thanked the Chairman for running a great meeting.
     She thanked David Gredley and his team for their hard work on preparing the new set
     of Rules and Chris Baldwick and his team for the work they have done so far for the
     Sessan Cup. The Secretary was thanked for her hard work through the year.
     We must not forget the Folkboats both racing and cruising that are spread all round
     the country, there is a small and growing fleet in Hamble and in Falmouth, we must
     continue to reach out to fellow Folkboaters everywhere.
     Simon Osgood has been elected as Secretary and Treasurer of NFIA, where he has
     already been doing great work on the Technical Committee.
     Sally thanked all the Race Officers from all the Clubs that run racing for Folkboats.
     She concluded by wishing everyone a great sailing season.

     The Chairman closed the meeting at12:58.
