Maddie hoists up their near white kite,
And off they vanish- out of sight.

We’re doing fine until mark ‘k’
We looked ahead and gasped ‘no way’
Six boats inside called loud for water
We knew that then it would be slaughter!
Cloud Cuckoo outside yelled for rights
But couldn’t get in without fights.
Chris screamed out loudly ‘I protest’
But then desisted, thought it best
And tacked ‘cross YSA’s bow quite fast
Determined that they won’t come last

Now Tom on YSA’s got a crew
Decides what Thomas aught to do.
‘For Christ sake watch those tell -tales fly.
Don’t gaze around- don’t point that high.’
But Tom said ‘No, that’s not my way,
I can’t sit watching string all day.
I’m here on hols, to see each mate
    And all those who participate.
But Tom must have been seeing double,
He hit the pin end with no trouble.
    And after his 360 turn
Hit it again on his return!
And Simon held his head in grief,
    With wonder and with disbelief!

Some Yarmouth boats are doing well,
Raeve, Svane, The Otter- you can tell
Are up with Lym boats in all races
    And frequently they’re changing places.

Poor Svane then saw his halyard fly
Right up the mast- jammed bloody high.
