now host International teams calls to share how we can collaborate further for the
success of the class.
From my administration view, I can see a lot of ‘building plans’ being requested which
are to an array of different owners and potential owners. These can be requested for
self-build or restoration purposes, but for me it’s just great to see a lot of interest in
the boat. Germany have produced new boats, and with the abundance of second-
hand boats throughout Europe, getting new owners into the fleet is not a challenge.
Whether they cruise or race them, they are all part of the Folkboat ethos and values,
and NFIA are determined to work with all sailors to keep them engaged on this classic
boat celebrating its significant birthday – Folkboats Forever!

4. British Folkboat. With an alloy mast and a petrol outboard engine.
5. British Folkboat. With a wooden mast and an inboard engine.
All these boats came to Folkboat Week in 2021.
