Currently in production are two major Folkboat refits. The first one is a yacht which
was number two imported Folkboat, GBR 612 (when the UK started to import Nordic
GRP Folkboats into the UK, in 1983). Family owned from new, and the current family
custodian wanted to restore to new and approached Dan and the team. Every
element is in the process of restoration, from seats, cabin, deck, rudder, keel and the
list go on. The boat is due for owner handover in February 2021 and will be seen
racing in the Hamble Spring Series.

The second boat is GBR 669, and a Europa owned boat which will be for sale at the
end of the project. Originally build in 1984 for the Danish builder’s daughter, this boat
has a proven record, and no expense is being spared, effectively creating a sister yacht
to ‘So!’. We look forward to welcoming owners and potential owners to view the
quality of the yacht, which has the latest equipment and Harbeck trailer.
The endearing quality of how the Folkebåd Centraalen yacht was built means that any
age of boat can be competitive, this has been clearly demonstrated with the Gold Cup
wins in 2019 by a 1978 boat, 2018 a 1983 boat and 2017 a 1986 boat. It goes to prove
age is no barrier and it is a testimony, not only to the stiff build of the boat, but the
real point of the Folkboat being “the people’s boat” allowing affordable competitive
sailing and great shorthanded cruising.
In essence we are here to support owners and members of the Folkboat association,
this is not limited to just restoration and upkeep of these super little yachts. Other
services provided by the team are, that we are now pleased to announce being a main
dealer in the UK for Harbeck trailers (Germany), recognised as the best trailers for one
design yachts. We have a close association with North sails and are current dealers for
