The New Seasons Message - from the Chairman - Kim Morley
First things first - Let me introduce myself and bring you all up to speed with the changes to the Folkboat Association team . I took over from David Fox at the March AGM as the Folkboat Association Chairman and continue also as the Hamble Fleet Captain. David continues to support as the Yarmouth Fleet Captain. Chris Fox has taken on the role of Vice Chairman, as well as the Lymington Fleet Captain role. All other roles on the committee remain the same. I am a passionate Folkboater - who first started racing and cruising a Nordic Folkboat in the 80's and now race Nordic Folkboat Valhalla out of the Hamble. I am really excited to take on this role and continue to support all aspects of Folkboating, from driving forward and building our racing fleets; ensuring competitive one design racing; encouraging classics racing and cruising and continuing to build…

Nordic Folkboat Gold Cup 2024 Halmstad Sweden: Update I am pleased to announce that we now have 5 Nordic Folkboats from the British Folkboat Association (FBA) entered so far. We have representation from our Lymington, Yarmouth and Hamble fleets. Tony Blachford – A tribute from the Folkboat Association UK It was with much sadness that news of Tony Blachford’s death just before Christmas reached the folkboat fleet. This tribute remembers Tony as one of the best helmsman and skippers to have graced the Solent and international waters. In the folkboat fleet, Smokey, Skjaere, Stralende and Skidpaws were unbeatable, a record only matched by his contribution to the UK nordic folkboat fleet. Tony developed legendary status over the decades, in the numerous dinghy and keelboat fleets he became the national and world champion in a number of classes. Press Read More
