A Successful Nordic Folkboat Nationals at Lymington

Congratulations to Gybe N GBR669, Cy Grisley, Simon Evans and Richard Clark on retaining the Folkboat Association National Champion Title. Pushed all the way by Cidron Too (Walters Family) and Madeleine (Ed Donald and crew). Challenging weather, lots of incidents and fun socials. Folkboating across the Solent clubs continues to be one of the best fleets in the UK. It was a memorable National Championship hosted by the Royal Lymington Yacht club …….. Congratulations to our winners ……. We had crews from our Lymington Hamble and Yarmouth fleets in the top 3 …Thanks also to all the competitors for making this a memorable competition as well Mike our race officer for excellent race management and the Royal Lymington for being fabulous event hosts and to our very own Lymington Fleet Captain Chris Fox for making it all happen ……… this is also the first weekend ouf our 3 weekend summer…

The 2024 Folkboat Nationals: 21st 23rd June is open for entry

Hosted by the Royal Lymington Yacht Club: The countdown to the Folkboat Nationals 2024 is on, with less than five weeks remaining until the event at Lymington. The finest Folkboat sailors will convene for five races across two days in the West Solent, vying for the title of National Champion for 2024. Please book your spot and help make this a memorable event. This is also the first of this seasons weekend regatta series    
Long Race East - gets underway from the Royal Solent Off Yarmouth IOW

Mark Hall's Raev wins the Long Race East - FBA inaugural Day Series Race 1

Congratulations to Mark Hall's Raev FB767 for a start to finish race win in the first of the FBA's new 3 part Saturday race series, The Long Race East. In a nail biting finish after racing the length of the Solent from Alasdair Maclean's Eala Bheag FB754 narrowly edged out Claire and Julian Sowry's  Mistral FB732 by a mere 7 seconds for second and third places.
