James Walters and team Cidron Too won the HRSC Central Solent regatta Folkboat class after close battles with Svenja and Valhalla coming out with Four wins, to 1 apiece for Svenja and Valhalla.

Freyilda also joined in the fun , but opted for white sails, as sailing with a novice crew, and Kindred’s crew sailed on Valhalla to gain race experience.

Great and challenging courses were set in variable wind conditions made for great one design racing , taking advantage of the low tide area off Hill Head with a mix of windward leewards and round the cans.

Big call out to Mike Stoner epitomising the spirit of Folkboating , who raced with full family and friends including 3 little ones dangling bare feet over the side and a Skull and Crossbow Battle flag flying off the backstay !  – We thought we were re-enacting the Swallows and Amazons movie at times !!
