Aims and purposes of the association
The UK Folkboat Association is responsible for furthering the interests of its members and ensuring the continuity and growth of a vibrant Folkboat Association membership and seeks to:
- endeavor at all times to foster friendship and camaraderie between all those who sail in and share an interest in Folkboats to encourage the true spirit of Folkboat sailing.
- encourage membership of the Association;
- encourage the development and membership of individual area Folkboat fleets;
- ensure adherence to the UK Folkboat Rules and Regulations in particular as they relate to the rules of the Nordic Folkboat International Association (NFIA);
- review and consider the introduction of new technologies and innovations and their effect on UK Folkboat Rules and Regulations and NFIA Class Rules;
- regularly review the Constitution and Rules of the Association;
- liaise with NFIA to promote international collaboration;
- ensure high standards of the Association’s events managed on its behalf;

The aim of this website is to provide up to date information on what is happening around the UK with Folkboats. It is open for anyone connected with Folkboats to submit articles and news. All relevant articles, once edited by the website editor, will be posted on the site, so please make them interesting for one and all.
